The 2009 CRA and Fair Lending Colloquium was a Great Successs!

Over 240 compliance professionals, regulators and other industry experts gathered in New Orleans for a robust program that addressed some of the near-term challenges facing the financial industry and provided solid advice for strengthening compliance programs in light of the new challenges and growing risks.

Once again this year, the conference provided a unique venue for key industry leaders and regulators to articulate their thoughts on the current state of the industry, provide insights into what the future may hold, and offer practical guidance on the changing regulatory landscape. This year, experts provided guidance on:

  • Proposed structures for regulatory reform
  • Possible expansian of CRA
  • Meeting CRA requirements in a down economy
  • Fair lending risks surrounding non-mortgage data
  • And more

A Special Word of Thanks

We would like to thank the outstanding group of speakers. These experts, representing all the components of our industry, generously donated their time to ensure that attendees time at the conference was well spent.
We would like to thank our sponsors, namely the American Bankers Association (ABA), the Independent Community Bankers Association (ICBA), Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), and a special thank you to the Louisiana Bankers Association (LBA).

We would like to thank New Orleans for providing a fitting venue for the conference. We were all moved by the stories of Hurricane Katrina and Colloquium attendees benefitted from seeing first hand some of the innovative community development work that has been accomplished since the storm.
